You are invited to participate in a Spring and /or Autumn trail run on one of the world’s most unique trails as a pilgrimage to biodiversity.
The Eden to Addo Great Corridor Trail Run is a 6 day adventure that encompasses FIVE distinct biomes, linking National Parks and the WORLD HERITAGE SITE Baviaanskloof Mega-Reserve – one of the most biodiverse areas in Southern Africa.
The Great Corridor Spring Trail Run is a fundraising adventure that attempts to follow where elephants once roamed across the vast expanse of the region known as Eden to Addo.
Imagine running 200km through forests, over expansive mountains, along winding river gorges, side-stepping buffalo, black rhino and possibly even elephant, while looking out for sunbirds in the world’s most diverse plant kingdom and home of the King Protea – Fynbos.
The trail run is not only about challenging yourself to the limit, it is also about conservation, as your participation assists in the creation of essential biodiversity corridors in the region stretching from the famous Garden Route Coast to Addo Elephant National Park – sanctuary to more than 450 of Africa’s most southerly elephant population.
ROUTE: Starting on Africa’s famous GardenRoute Coast, through Garden RouteNational Park, across the Tsisikammamountains to the Baviaanskloof WorldHeritage Site.
ITS UNIQUE: Traversing FIVE distinct biomes: coastalforest, fynbos, succulent karoo,grassland, subtropical-thicket.
